Containers
The term container in computer systems encompass many different technologies. Maybe you think of docker, qubernetes and cloud images; maybe flatpak, snap and appimage. Containerisation generally mean a "self contained program". That is a program that bundles all dependencies, leaving minimal requirements on the host. In the hosting world, containers is synonymous with docker, the project pioneering the OCI-container. Docker was not the first container-technology. Seven years before docker, linuxcontainer.

Running IncusOS
I recently bought myself a new server. It contains a AMD Ryzen 5 3600, 32Gb of RAM harvested from my desktop because prices1, and a motherboard I'm not particularly happy about. My build has two killer features: 4*4 Tb of storage in RAID-Z1 (Bought before the prices 1), and 2x10Gb ethernet NIC on a expansion card. And since I have moved away from home, no father of mine will complain about the electricity usage.

My Home Lab
My first server took the form of a very old HP server. It was very square, had four disk bays, an AMD processor, a built-in and dedicated network card, e-SATA port, and screamed louder than me singing. Running Windows Server 2012, the 4Gb memory was clogged just standing there. I got this miracle from my father when he upgraded to some integrated solution to host the family images and plex.

How I use my Yubikey
I am a big time Yubikey user. If my key where to disappear, my only life would pretty much disappear with it. Many would find that to be scary, but I believe that without such vulnerability many would instead be very vulnerable online. The Yubikey allows you to match the convenience and features of online with the security of something you have in the pocket. The Yubikey is a security device.

Using Graphene OS for a year
I’m not a security expert. But I am very interested in the subject and like to experiment, so I thought I would start a blog series discussing and showing off some of what I’ve done. I began by writing one long blog post, but realising it became to long for me to finish in a reasonable time, I thought I would start of sharing my journey with Graphene OS. For most of my life I’ve been an iPhone user.
